Plateau doesn’t mean Stop!
I have been using MyFitnessPal.com and it has been working out well. I did use both Saturday and Sunday as cheat days unfortunately since I was helping friends work at a warehouse. I think that may have created the plateau I am faced with now. Here are my results and what I have been doing to get them.
From 5/10 – 5/17 I have lost 5.7 lbs. I set myself a calorie limit of 1200
calories based in MyFitnessPal.com tracker and try my best to adhere to that number. On days it doesn’t rain I ride my bike to and from work during lunch which is about 1.79 miles one way so that gives me a little over 3.5 miles on the bike at a leisurely pace each day burning about 160 calories. I follow that up in the evening with 15 – 25 minutes of swimming which burns between 135 – 350 calories (depending on how long and how hard I swim). I use my apple watch to track all my workouts and it has been working out well so far.
I will have to work out a way to beat this current plateau. I have been
stuck for a few days with no change, up or down, but with continuing the same routine. I think I will try what I did last year and focus on more strength training in this next week and maybe even dust off my printout of the Iron Born 30-day workout challenge. As a result I hope that I will be able to break through this plateau and start watching the scale move in the correct direction again. I know that one thing is for sure, I have to start doing more crunches!
Stay tuned because next week I hope to be sliding down the number scale and back on track to a healthier weight.
