Fiverr is a great website that allows people to offer their skills for five dollars. The person offering the skills only gets four dollars the site keeps one dollar for fees. It really is a great place to make quick money but sometimes you do work for very little. You have to be careful to price your job accordingly. If not you’ll end up spending hours to make only $5 – $10. I really want to make money but don’t want to work myself to death.
The gigs that I offer are pretty basic. I’ve done this before. I offer writing a few blog posts maybe 2/3 at 600-700 words. They’re not very difficult and usually only take about 10 minutes to write. One thing that I did try in the past that I would not recommend is writing reviews for customers. Sometimes you’ll have a customer that is just way too needy and they’ll keep asking for revision upon revision and this really eats up a lot of your time. I will also offer some voice-over work (I’ve done that in the past for YouTube videos) and things like that. That should be quick to record and submit for payment with only a little time spent clean it up on some audio software.
Something that I have purchased on Fiverr in the past was the service of removing backgrounds from images. I’m sure the people that do this have some sort of script or macro to make the process fast and easy. I have just never got around to looking into it.
Fiverr also has a nice feature that allows sellers to search buyer requests. You can actually see what people want and then gear your gigs accordingly. If you see a whole bunch of people that are asking for logo design then it might be beneficial for you to make a gig geared toward that. I found that a lot of the people that request gigs on Fiverr usually get bombarded with offers so I wouldn’t spend to much time submitting offers to request but instead it gives you a way to test the waters of what people need that they currently don’t see offered.
Well this is some info on Fiverr I’ll fill out some gigs and let them sit there and let you know how the progress goes on this front.
